Save the Beavers: Championing Wild Hampshire

A short vertical film spotlighting beavers and their role in local ecosystems, made to persuade audiences to take an active interest in protecting local wildlife. Built for mobile first, social native viewing, using pacing, visuals, and a clear call to action to turn a niche conservation topic into something people actually felt something about.

“Save the Beavers” — awareness film for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust

The Approach

One animal, made impossible to ignore

A single species, a bigger story

The brief asked for one animal to carry the message. Beavers were chosen as natural ecosystem engineers — an easy hook into a wider conversation about Hampshire's rivers and wetlands.

Built for the feed

Shot and edited vertically for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories, with fast pacing and on-screen captions so the message lands without sound.

Awareness into action

The film closes on a clear call to support the Trust's work, turning passive viewers into people who notice, care about, and protect local wildlife.
